Durn three-legged chihuahuas, and their winning ways!

                                  

 My little noodle noggen didn't even place in the Pet Halloween costume contest at Tailspin on Habersham, but he did have tons of fun sniff'n bum-bums. A king charles spaniel as Sherlock Holmes and a basset in a sombrero tied for third.  Second place was taken by a giant white dog dressed as a 'pirate wench' in a pink sunglasses and tu-tu (really!? sunglasses and a tu-tu!!? So much for historical integrity).  And the grand prize was awarded to a three-legged chihuahua dressed as a pirate, complete with a real wooden leg that tapped as she hobbled to the stage.

I tell you one thing, if that durn chihuahua had four legs it wouldn't have stood a chance against Boo's utter cuteness!!

Nothing to Say-Nothing to Do

I've spent the last three days sleeping off an unidentifiable virus, and now boredom overwhelms me. Seriously, I've read 7 books, 2 blogs and a Research Journal. At this point I'm convinced that if the virus doesn't take my life soon, the medications the doctor prescribed definitely will.

On the other hand, it has provided me a blessed opportunity to lower my blood pressure (aka take a break from school). Teaching is crazy stressful!! The kids are just squishy masses of limitless energy, but the red-tape of education is thoroughly idiotic. They wrap your arms and legs in it the minute you sign the contract.
